Artist and sculptor Heather Corey combines inspiration from a wide range of disciplines; from modern movement expressions of the late British fashion designer Alexander McQueen to the time-tested visual cues of Baroque embellishment. Corey's latest collection, 'Love Corsetry,' explores the feminine form and conjures a sense of motion and strength in two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms.
'Love Corsetry' is a collection that will feature one hundred different women--each corset a reflection of her soul. Whether they are vulnerable or strong, confident or unsure, they all share one thread that makes them both different and the same--feminine motion.
"Every moment can be a monumental experience. My ultimate goal is to create a sense of tranquility for my audience as I imagine and create my own vignettes of peace. 'Love Corsetry' is a textural, colorful expression of the corset and examines my past and present discovery for self love." - Heather Corey, 2014
